I thought it was great performance on Soundstage and really wish you would release a DVD of the concert.

Dan's concert on Soundstage was GREAT!! The timing seemed so perfect, since he had to cancel his Fall tour. We truly felt that this was a gift from God to all of Dan's loyal fans. As so many other fans feel, we could have listened to him for HOURS and enjoyed so many tunes that weren't his biggest hits. But we are so very thankful just the same. May God bless Dan for blessing us with his many talents. ~
John & Lisa Andursky, Connellsville PA

Dan Fogelberg was great -- more, more.

The Soundstage concert was great! Thanks so much, Dan. ~ Merry Eve in Boulder

You were wonderful...........as always! Listening to that concert, brought back many priceless memories that had buried too long! Thank you waking up my past-I am so grateful! ~ Judy in Memphis

Like fine wine, age is only an improvement. The broadcast was a gift and I can only hope that a DVD will be made available. The songs were great and the performance was awesome. I love watching Dan's hands on the keys and especially the guitar. How can two hands produce those sounds? I'll never tire of trying to figure it out. What a wonderful evening! Sounding tight, looking amazing, the only thing better would be in person. Thanks for sharing yourself with the audience once again, Dan. ~ Sandi

Dan, you're the best! The mutual dedication that you have for your fans and your fans have for you is truly remarkable and a blessing to us all. Soundstage was on here in New Orleans at 4:00 a.m. I set my alarm clock and you more than made it worth the effort. Good to hear some new songs from
"Full Circle", but they're all to be treasured. I consider you to be the best friend that I've never met. Thank you for your music, a gift I never can repay. ~ Dennis Berner

I am as diehard a Dan fan as anybody and LOVED the Full Circle CD,especially "Reason To Run". Because of this, I must be honest and say that I was somewhat disappointed in the Soundstage performance and the song list. It seemed in some ways to be a copy of his commercially "greatest hits" set with the same arrangements and I would have loved to hear him stretch withmore of the obscure gems such as "Run...", 'Illinois", "Gambler"...etc...I thought Dan sounded labored in his voice and his energy and the performance seemed to be subdued except for the wonderful guitar solo on
Power of Gold. The High Country Snows tour was a great example of stretching out on stage and upon a successful recovery, would like to see him stretch out on stage once again. ~ Mark Monte

I was reacquainted with your songs by watching the recent performance on Soundstage for PBS. I really had no idea of the versatility you possess in your instrument playing. It gives me a greater appreciation for the passion you have for the music. You gave a great performance and it was really nice to watch you and the band and enjoy the music again. I'm glad that you and your music is in this world. Thanks ~ Debbie Saxe

It was wonderful to see Dan Fogelberg again, no matter how briefly! It's been nine years since my last concert attendance, and I'm hoping he will be in Oklahoma City as soon as is possible after his recovery. Dan and his music are much loved.

It was a great concert! I wish that Dan would have played longer and played the song "Longer". I hope your tour comes to San Diego next year as I want to see you again.
Thanks for your music, and your stories of the road! ~ Wayne McBrayer

Greetings from the West! Dan...You sounded great on the Soundstage concert! (Too short of course.) And I don't care what songs you sing, as long as I get to hear you sing them!! Listening to you and seeing you perform over the years has truly been a gift to me. I'm glad you finally found the love and happiness you deserve. But I must admit that I miss the "love-lost" songs you wrote so well. Misery loves company, you know?Take Care and All the Best to you. YOU ARE A TREASURE! Love ~ Michelle-San Jose, CA.

The show was incredible! So fun and full of energy. It's nice to see an electric show with a band again. I absolutely loved it and I really hope they do end up releasing it on DVD. ~
Laura, Mason, Ohio

It really touched my heart to see Dan playing again. I don't think I've seen him live since attending an acoustic concert he gave at Carnegie Hall back in the 70's. His music has been so woven into my life for so many years. It has left an indelible mark and continues to do so. You look well Dan, although it appears you've aged some, as have I. Be well, be happy, and know that your work has made the journey of so many others that much better. Thanks ~ Marcine

We loved the music and the performers. The stage even looked great. Our only disappointments were 1) the amount of time (Of course we would have loved more) AND 2) That we couldn't have been to see him live ourselves, and 3) It seemed that Dan didn't establish a rapport with the audience as we have seen him do in the past. Isn't that the reason for going to a concert?... We like to see artists live to have an opportunity to hear more than just the music. We like to get a better understanding of the artist. Maybe time did not permit or it was cut from the taping.

Dear Dan, I saw your concert on PBS the other night and said to myself that I could watch you in concert for another 3 hours. I have seen you live about 4-5 times in concert around the Chicago Land area and I have been a fan for about 20 years. Your music, who you are, and your support of the wilderness has changed my life for the better. Take care ~ Faly from Bartlett IL

Quite simply, this show was worth seeing what's on the cutting room floor. I saw the earlier tour this show was based on and know there's some awesome material that many I have talked with about this show, feel needed to be there but wasn't. That can't possibly take away from what was included in the show. I've heard the show won't be up for sale on DVD. That's a terrible waste of quality material given by a quality musician for a quality audience that made the journey to witness it live. The statements about the whole show were inspiring, and all I heard very good. I felt Dan was very much "On" for that concert, and what we witnessed on Soundstage was probably the best show of Season Two. Dan, you were born to do this, of that there is little doubt. Great Show, and thank you so much for doing it! ~ Rick...

Absolutely fantastic. Every word still touches me and tug on my heartstrings. As I sat listening, I was taken back - many moons - to a solo concert at Lehigh University - and after - sitting in a little
tavern in Allentown Sheraton - and seeing Dan walk in and sit down. I was urged to go get an autograph by my friend - but I declined. His privacy is his privacy, and sitting just 4 feet away is enough for me -a memory that can never be taken from me. Thru these last 30+ years, you have taken me thru the ups and downs of my life. And I know when (as my children used to call it) I needed a "Danny fix" - you soothe my soul and I am forever grateful to you. ~
Cis Vaughan-Heller

Listening to you for almost 30 years has been a true joy ride. Your performance on Soundstage was just what I expected, it was tremendous. I would enjoy meeting you just to say "Thank You".You have provided enjoyment to more people than you could imagine. ~ David from Miami, Ok.

It was a great show to watch. Very up close and personal. Hope we will all get the chance to hear that Dan will be back performing again soon.Let's hope that PBS makes a DVD available of this performance only.~ Norma - Toronto, Canada

Enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing you in concert (in person) again! Liked the visuals on the screens and you have a very talented band. Since the beginning, I've always liked your style!

Just watched the "Soundstage" broadcast I TiVoed over the weekend... Dan's performance took me back to my first-ever concert... 1978 in Anaheim, CA at the Convention Center. Since then, I've seen Dan so many times I've lost count. Thanks for the music and memories, Dan. I think I'll dig out some of the old "albums" again... of course, now the albums have been replaced by CDs! ~
Nancy D., Orange County, CA

Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your concert on Soundstage. As usual, your voice and your music brought tears to my eyes - happy tears! You are so amazing. I enjoy your music very much. Next time my hope is it's a little longer. Love you ~ Roseann from Middletown, NJ

Here's an idea for the rest of us that want to see PBS release a DVD of the Soundstage performance by Dan Fogelberg...go to www.pbs.org/wttw/soundstage/ and request a DVD to be released. I was very disappointed that our local T.V. listings had given the wrong channel so I missed the first 15 minutes of it while channel surfing to find it. Then it was subsequently aired at 4:00 am! The 45 minutes I did get to see were superb as usual. There will never be another performer who could ever outdo Dan! ~ Carol, Austin, Texas

Obviously Dan is wonderfully talented, brilliant, etc. etc., in wonderful voice here and I LOVED the show, but boy I would love to hear some of the more rare tunes - too many to name here, but i.e."Tell Me to My Face" instead of "Power of Gold." "Forefathers" would have been nice (wasn't that a hit, since this seemed like a greatest hits show?), etc. I'd pass out if he sang "Stars"! But seriously, I sound ungrateful and whiny so I take it all back!

As usual your use of voice and instrument are able to transport me to another place. Fun to see you rock again. Haven't got to see you do that in a while. Hope to see more of you soon. Thanx. ~ D&D from J.C. Tn.

I'm 59 years old and have been listening to you since the beginning of time (it seems). I, just like so many others, would like to hear a concert with MY request list, but, I will agree, that only playing your "Popular" songs is such a small part of you! To us TRUE FANS , every song on every release is a hit! Having said that, I felt kind of sad watching you try to reach those high notes that you used to hit so gracefully. I guess most people are afraid to mention it, but, just as some of the "Greats" that sang beyond their capability to sing the songs as they used to sound, don't go "farther than you'll ever hope to see.." either. Start in a lower key or something. Just to finish this off on a good note, I told my wife that if I were ever lying in a coma or some terrible thing where I couldn't communicate.... just get all the Dan Fogelberg CD's, put a pair of headsets on my ears, and I would be happy.~ Bill N -- Union, NJ

It was great to see Dan's concert on the air. Unfortunatley, the broadcast I was tuned into was interrupted half way through the show right in the middle of one of Dan's most brilliant songs - "Same Old Lang Syne." Not sure what happened, but I will be sure to inform CET pbs of the problem. I will keep checking the schedule to catch it again when it airs. Hopefully they will release a video/dvd of the performance. Best to Dan! ~ Kathy from Dayton, Ohio.

I have attended numerous Dan Fogelberg concerts over the years - each one an absolute joy. However, last year I was truly given a special gift - I was able to attend a Dan Fogelberg concert on my birthday. Dan's appearance on "Soundstage" allowed me to once again experience that extraordinary evening. Thank you for wishes come true. With smiles, tears, hope, and love always ~ June / Norwalk, CT.

Watched your Soundstage show and all I can say is WOW! I have seen you many times in concert and you always give a great show, and I'm never disappointed. I have one wish though, and I'm sure every other Dan Fan has the same one. I want to hear you play a song list that I create. Now don't get me wrong, I love all of your music, but, "Run for the Roses", "Leader of the Band", etc., are not my favorites. Maybe you just think your fans want to hear those songs, you know, "Your Big Hits." I would love to hear the entire song list from Nether Lands. "Wysteria" from Home Free is a haunting song that brings back such vivid memories of lost love and long ago's.. Every time I listen to your music I am transported back to college, sitting in a dark dorm room with a group of close friends and being amazed that your words were the same ones I wanted to scream out loud. How did you do that? How did you know what was in the minds and hearts of all your devoted fans? Are you a psychic? Some think a prophet! Well, whatever you are, I thank you for helping me through some difficult times and also for being there during the happy ones too. ~
Jim Ledet, Griffin, Georgia

The concert on Soundstage was terrific. I was lucky enough to be there for the taping and having seen you perform so many times over the past 30 years this was a special evening for all of your fans. Whether you are performing one of your many classic hits or new songs from Full Circle you are always one of the most entertaining performers. Hope the show is released on DVD so all of fans can had this to their collection.~ Linda Flasch Palos Hills, Ill.

I have not missed one of Dan's concerts in my area since 1982! This year, I was very disappointed to find he was not coming around my neck of the woods. I was actually making arrangements to see him in another state when I heard he had cancelled the tour! The Soundstage show made me feel like I was getting to see him live! And he blew me away with "Power of Gold." At least all of us Dan Fans got to see a live performance and enjoy his beautiful music. My PBS station said that I should watch for re-airings so everyone should check their listings from time to time. Too bad it was so short!!~ CLE

Mr. Fogelberg, what can I say? Delightful, as usual. I feel renewed. Thank you for years of brilliant music.~
Tina in Illinois

Dan the Man:) I have seen u in concert 7 times, and never got the pleasure of seeing u up close:) Your music touches my heart and soul. I wonder, "does he ever get tired of singing some of the old songs"? and I think, THANK YOU for those songs, they are timeless. You are the Leader of the Band, because you are Dan the Man. I thought I would have 2 hours of you, and only got one.... You cannot end up on the edit floor..... too much talent unseen by the one's who love you the most. Thank you for all your beautiful music and voice and talent. I won't wait again and get back seat rows ever again:) Peace & love to you. ~ Jane, Southern California

Dan we watched Soundstage & all I can say is WOW. It brought tears to our eyes. You sounded wonderful. You are A Living Legacy.

Dan, Thanks for working with PBS to put together your performance that speaks of our lives, of our souls and mostly for showing that the simple pleasures in life are truly the best if one takes time to slow down and realize such things! Never has music touched me the way yours does. I've always loved the wide open fields, mountains and sea....your music echoes the beauty of these places. Thanks for putting guitar in hand and your feelings into words and music. I'm yet to hear another performer with such a gift as yours. Your music is food for we sentimentalists out here! Never change. Thanks for sharing your gift...~ Cindy

Since I have not been able to make it to any of his appearances for several years, it was truly a pleasure to be able to listen and see him perform again. What a talented individual. Can't wait for more.~ Sterling

I thoroughly enjoyed the broadcast and especially enjoyed seeing Dan on TV. But, I too was disappointed in the song list. I am a huge fan of Dan Fogelberg and love all his songs, but us "die hard" Fogelberg fans were looking forward to a more comprehensive song list that would more adequately demonstrate his talent as a songwriter and musician, not just his most popular radio hits. It should also have been more than just an hour long. Anyone with over 30 years on the music scene can't possibly be done justice with just an hour-long program. Still, the show was great. I just wanted more! ~ Vicki

Loved the Soundstage show! I try to catch any and all DF airings I can and this one did not fail to thrill me as they all do. ~ Linda

Hey Dan-Caught your PBS show last night-WOW!!! You are something else! I hadn't heard you for probably 20 years! We middle-aged guys can really put on a good show! I am going to get some of your later CD's soon as they express so artistically what I feel. My appreciation also extends to your band-TIGHT ! Sincerely ~ Jon Fowle, Becket MA.

I saw you on "Soundstage" tonight. Your voice actually sounds richer to me today, and your "guitarmanship" might be even better. I guess a few more years of experience does a body good even if you are the best!! ~ Al F.

It was so great to see Dan on Soundstage. I wish his appearance on Soundstage was longer than one hour. Dan and his music sound as wonderful as I can remember them being in person. First time I saw Dan in concert was when he and his band opened for the Eagles! Dan, you're one of my two favorite artists. Thank you. ~ Jayne Kaszas, Flushing, New York

I watched Soundstage and as usual your performance was extremely enjoyed. Your music never fails to tug on the heart strings. Keep up the great work!! ~ C. Williams-Deacon, Illinois

Managed to catch the special on Thursday and watched it again last night. Needless to say, I loved it!! Warm feelings from som many years of memories just washed all over me. Thanks for the memories and the music. God Bless You.~ Peggy Shreveport, LA

Dan always does his best to entertain, whether it is solo or with the band. I saw essentially the same show in Thousand Oaks, CA in July of 2003, and have been a fan in regular attendance to all of his tourings since 1974. What a great show it was! My only feedback is to plead and beg for a DVD of the entire show. His hits are always great to hear and the different renditions of each are equally pleasing. However, the best part of the show that I saw was a really great rendition of the classic "Crow" from the Captured Angel album of 1975. That was well worth the price of admission. It is these no so well known songs that really add the flavor to the seasoned fan. I can't wait to see the show again in High definition tonight on Channel 8 DT. I guess there was only one hour for the Soundstage show, but I know I speak for many DF fans who would gladly pay handsomely for the entire full length show on DVD. Any chances of that happening? Never hurts to ask. Anyway, the Soundstage shows are great. Keep them coming. Sincerely ~ Victor E.. Hasler

Hi Dan, last night 9-11-04 I was flipping thought the tv channels and noticed your concert on PBS. After that there was no more flipping. Enjoyed every word and note. II did not know how good of a guitar player you were in concert until last night.~ Marc from Akron, Ohio

Dan, you were in fine form. I have been waiting years for a video or DVD of you. This will be on TIVO for a long, long time. I do think it's a shame that PBS gave it a 1:00 a.m. air time. So many people would have loved it. Much love. ~ Lori, Santa Rosa, CA

I have been a fan of Dan's since his very first album was released. Due to ill health I have not been able to attend a live concert of Dan's for a number of years. Before that I used to drive all over the country just to catch one of his concerts. His Soundstage concert was wonderful. I listen to his music all the time but it was good for me to see him performing again. It reminded me that 23 years ago this fall he was performing at the Capital Center in Washington DC. Dan announced to the crowd that he had just written a new song ("Leader of the Band"). After playing it, the crowd roared with applause and Dan said, "I'm glad you like it. It was written about my Dad and he likes it too." I took to the concert that night a handsome young man I had just met. He had never heard of Dan Fogelberg before. I was amazed since he played in a band himself. That handsome young man became a fan of Dan Fogelberg's that night. The next spring that handsome young man became my husband. And now, 23 years later, that handsome man and I watched the Soundstage concert together and want to thank Dan for his music and the wonderful memories it has blessed us with. ~ Kate.

What a much needed "Dan Fix"! I will watch and listen and wait...until next years tour! Thanks for a great hour of music Dan and the lifetime of memories it brings. ~ Katie

I was so looking forward to last night's Soundstage performance by Dan. Although it was great to see him and the band, I must admit that I was overwhelmingly disappointed by the selections and editing that (PBS) chose. I understand that the entire show only included 10 songs, but all of them, with the exception of the two from Full Circle were Dan's most commercial tunes from radio land. What a shame it was not to have been able to see a wider selection from the past 30 years of wonderful songwriting and performing. Nevertheless, it was still a treat to see Dan up close and personal for an unencumbered hour last night. ~ Liz

It was great to see you over in Hawaii - you never come and perform here! Despite the sound on your vocals not being as clear as they might have been on the first few songs, I was spellbound. "Leader of the Band" stirred up the same emotions as the first time I heard it and I so enjoyed your guitar playing and the really wonderful job the band did in backing you up, great music. The
harmonies too were lovely. I have to say, I still enjoy your simpler, "straight" arrangements and deliveries - you don't need to do anything to embellish because your raw talent/voice is already unbelievably beautiful. I hope you are working on some new ballads with that profound talent of yours - keep going, the world needs as much beauty as you can give! --- Aloha ~ Margy

I watched the show for the first time last night. I was so thrilled. I have never seen Dan perform live and this was wonderful. He looked great, and he and his band sounded great. I just wished the show was longer. But, since even being able to see it was a surprise I won't complain too much. I particularly liked the extensive guitar solos by Dan during "The Power of Gold", that man can sure play. I hope and pray this wonderful man and his beautiful gift will continue on, people such as he are to rare and his talent is too good to not keep shining for a long time to come. ~ Mary

Dan Fogelberg...a terrific performance...an amazing singer. We need to see more of him! ~ Jessica

It was such a pleasure to see you on the TV again. I really enjoyed the show. I have to say everyone did a wonderful job, but I especially liked "Power of Gold" where you and Robert really take the stage and rock! Glad you did this performance. Thank you! ~ Cathy in NJ~

We were pleased to hear the old favourites, and some new ones too. Good luck, and keep up the very good work. Love ~ Glenna

I watched Soundstage and truly enjoyed each song. It was great to see you again, even if it was on the TV. Your band seems to enjoy playing almost as much as you do. The words...the music ..and the whole performance was excellent. I truly love your music and your love for writng beautiful songs. I wish there was a CD to be made from this.~ Kathy S.....Ohio

I have watched it now a total of 3 times. Kudo's to the band. We have been fans ever since your beginning in the 70's. We never get tired of your music. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.~ Ruth from Georgia

Great show Dan! Your voice, although much lower now, has much more emotion and "soul".
Wish you would release this on DVD; I'll be first in line to purchase it. Love from Ohio

The performance was great!! I hope that a DVD will be available soon! ~ Jim, Muskego, WI

I watched the Soundstage presentation of Dan Fogelberg last night and was very impressed. As a result, I am definitely planning to see Dan live whenhe recovers. I pray that he will since he is truly one of the few singer/songwriters left who plays and writes all of his own songs. I was
particularly impressed about how talented he is and what a great musician he is. Was also impressed with his band. Love ya, Dan. ~ Tim

Some moments are magical indeed and meant to be lived over and over. The broadcast of Soundstage is one of them. It had been 13 months since I flew to Chicago and participated in the taping of that show. I counted down the hours on Thursday to the 10 PM showing in Pittsburgh - my excitement like that of a child on Christmas morning. Then it began...the familiar notes of "Part of the Plan" and I was immediately transformed back to that front row seat in Chicago, filled with awe and wonder watching the 13 cameras capture Dan Fogelberg and his band for all to see.

The Soundstage editors did a wonderful job blending all of the shots of Dan and each of the band members, along with the excitement and energy of the audience. Dan has been accompanied by such fine musicians and it is a delight to watch Zoot on the keyboards adding his digital enhancements to every song. I did miss the credit to the sax/flute player who added great touches to several songs. Jim Photoglo and Michael Botts brought precise performances to the harmonies, bass and drums and one could easily feel the energy building as "Power of Gold" reached its crescendo. I was glad that Soundstage captured some of the excellent guitar work by Robert McEntee. He and Dan work together to create perfect music. It is my sincere hope that the songs which were lost such as "Crow", "As the Raven Flies" and "The Reach" will be recaptured from the editors floor and released someday. Some of Dan's best guitar work was in these songs. Please consider this. There is no question that those fans who can make Home Free go platinum after 30 years would purchase a DVD of this performance.

How blessed we are to have this memory to relive over and over again. Each of us have expressed how we carry Dan's music with us through every mountain and sea of our lives - now we can put in a tape and it can be brought to life in our living rooms.Enjoy ~ from Along the Road in Pittsburgh, PA ~ Cindy Bandula-Yates

I was very disappointed. Especially the arrangement of "Same Old Lang Syne". Sorry. ~ D Y

Fogelberg on PBS - absolutely great!!! What do we have to do to convince PBS to release the entire show on DVD?!!

Dan, thanks so much for the many years of great quality music. It was a lot of fun watching you on the telly the other nite .It was the first time I have seen you on T V, although I've seen you in concert many times. As a decent song writer myself, I can honestly say your songs will stand the test of time and be sung for generations to come. Thank you so much and God bless you with all of your earthly trials ~ J Steurer-Elgin, IL

I had forgotten about the broadcast, but luckily I came across it in Memphis, TN while in town on business. I was glad to have something "good" to watch while in the motel. I don't think it would be possible for me to not enjoy Dan Fogelberg music. I did enjoy this show, however, I could not help but feel something melancholy in Dan's performance. He seemed to be "struggling" through some of the songs and I did not hear that familiar soul I have known for so many years. I felt a bit sad because I thought I could detect a sadness in Dan. I like to see him happy. The only song I heard a connection with Dan's soul was the performance of "Same Old Lang Syne". I still love you Dan after all these years (since 1973) and I wish you much happiness and recovery to good health. ~ Debbie Mullins

I watched your concert tonight on PBS with two of my children, my 9 year old and 4 year old daughters. We all loved the concert. Thought it was great that a 34 year old dad and his children could all see a concert together and all enjoy the music. I told my 9 year old I had a CD of yours and she got so excited. I'm down here in my office listening to your CD with her...
Today, being the 3rd anniversary of September 11th it's been a very depressing day. A lot of tears remembering that horrible day, seeing the services, images, etc. over and over. When your concert came on television tonight and your music filled our home it brightened up our day. Was the sun coming out from behind the clouds we all needed today. Thanks for the music Dan. ~ John Pullum (Host  - "More Than Human" on The Discovery Channel)

I have seen Dan Fogelberg in concert more times than I can count over the past 30 years. Every show is different and special in it's own right but having my own private concert in my bedroom the other night was the best show of all! Dan's performance was incredible. Just watching his face and seeing how into his music he is was awesome. I feel strange about calling him by his first name as we have never met, yet I feel that I know him personally after the many intimate hours I have spent listening to his music. ~ Aileen Gould

Good things endure and so does your music and talent. So glad PBS recognized your gift. Such acknowledgement was long overdue.Your Soundstage performance was grand. Kudos to you and your fellow musicians.Be well. ~ Judi from Spencerport, NY

Just finished viewing/relishing the Soundstage Broadcast. Dan was in fine form, as usual. He rocked on the electric numbers, and was at his best on the two solo/acoustic offerings. Sorry to see that some of the concert was cut. Was planning to see Dan next month at Chastain, but this will have to do for now. It is truly a timely gift. ~ Laurie H.

Had on 2 tv's to make sure I wouldn't miss it. Dan was wonderful.when he played his best song- "Leader of the Band" - I cried. All the songs were great. ~ Beth

Great to see and hear Dan as usual. I've been looking forward all year to this "replay" of essentially was the last show on the 03 Tour in Mancos, Colorado -- and this looked and sounded almost identical (funny thing that - eh, since it was filmed scant weeks after the last tour concert?!). In any event, I echo the frustration of the limited venue of Soundstage playing only 1/3 of the longer concert I assume was "there" that we didn't see. As indicated in another post, yes Dan did seem serious, reserved or not particularly audience-engaging at first, but warmed up as they went along--ditto the Mancos show, so that's consistent Regarding the show's length, the TV venue wasn't Mr. Fogelberg's fault and I am grateful for any coverage, so rare for him. My 24th DF concert in some 30 years! Each in some way "better" than the last, though it never seemed possible. I was only disappointed in the limited time on TV (seemed to warrant 90-120 minutes at least!) --it was over before we knew it! -- and that some of his "non super hits" were not on the TV play list. ~ K

After 30 years of waiting, it-was-AWE-SOME!!! Way too short tho!! I want more! More! More!!!! and... .I want a DVD! Say it with me people....I-WANT-A DVD! -- I-WANT-A DVD!! -- I-WANT-A DVD!!! Please tell *the powers that be* to make a DVD of this show!!! I can't live without it! Thank you, Dan! Thank you Dan! Thank you, Dan! The world is a better place because of you! Big Hugs and kisses to you! Take care! ~ heide

I just saw your PBS special on TV, and it was excellent! ~ Danny

I just watched you on PBS's Soundstage. An absolutely fantastic performance! ~ Pam

My husband was watching TV tonight & called me in to see my old "musical crush". I didn't recognize you right away. Then I exclaimed "oh it's Dan Fogelberg!" ...

This evening while channel surfing, I came across PBS'  Soundstage show. I cannot tell you how surprised I was to see you were tonight's featured artist. I have listened to and admired your music for many years.... Thank you for sharing your talent and gifts with us for so many years. ~ Patricia Bolt (a fan in Ohio)

The other night we saw Dan on Soundstage. It was so neat to hear all those great songs again and to hear the great harmonies! We have been fans from way back.

Watched Soundstage last nite and so enjoyed it. Dan was looking good and sounding fantastic. You can feel the love for him by watching the audience response. Had been awhile since I had caught a glimpse of him. Thanks to all responsible for that production! ~ Mary Lou Ray,Vincennes, Indiana

It was wonderful, as always, to see Dan perform on the Soundstage program. I could have watched him all night. I noticed once again how he seems reserved at the beginning of a performance and then peps up towards the middle. Can he still be shy after all these years? How sweet is that?! :) I was most pleased to hear him perform "Reach Haven Postcard," my favorite song from his "Full Circle" CD. And wasn't "Power of Gold" jammin'!! Thanks again, Dan, for a great show. ~ Marion -- Thibodaux, Louisiana

Outstanding! Having been to the concert in Dallas just before the filming, I relived the songs and the excitement. My daughter, a fledgling guitarist, marveled at the guitarwork of Dan and Robert - seeing the fingerwork up close really makes a difference! My husband, not really much of a fan, said "how can one man on a stage with one guitar sound like an orchestra?" Dan and band, thanks again for a great joy in my life!! ~ Cindy in Texas

I watched your concert last night on Soundstage on PBS. You truly are a talented and wonderful person. I mean I listen to your music constantly, but to SEE you and your emotion and how much you put into your music is amazing. ~ Linnette, St. Louis, MO

Excellent show! From my life anthem, "Part of the Plan" as the opener, to "Power of Gold" the music, picture, and sound quality were superb. Please release the entire concert on DVD. It will become your best seller.~ Dody Parker

Dan and the band were in great form what more can you say. I also think Soundstage did a great job. The only downside in my opinion would be not showing the whole show. There were some great songs left off the show( "The Reach", "As the Raven Flies","Crow -,I love the way it was done on the summer 2003 tour and "Blow Wind Blow").Hopefully it will be available in the future on DVD.Well Done!!! Thanks Dan and the band. Hope all is going well! Take Care. Peace ~ William

We made sure we would not miss seeing you on Soundstage so we had a note on the refrigerator door with the date and time. The show was great. You could hear a pin drop in our den when you sang "Leader of the Band." ~ Fred and Jennifer, Louisiana

I've been a fan of yours forever (or at least since the late 70's). I saw your concert on Soundstage last night and just bawled because your lyrics are so beautiful and bring back so many good memories of a much more "Innocent Age". Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your Soundstage concert and would have felt compelled to write to you. ~ Laura Z

Last night as we lay in bed, flipping channels on the television, we chanced upon one of your concerts taped for KETC . It was so wonderful to listen and reflect on the memories that your songs always spur. My wife and I are both 49 and your music has touched our hearts throughout the years. You are truly one of our favorite artists. ~ Rocky and Michelle Rowe

You and the band were awesome on the show. I am disappointed that they had to cut all the non-hits, especially Robert's awesome contribution to Crow, which I enjoyed so very much, but the rest still looked and sounded great. ~ Sue Laabs, Northville, MI

Saw Dan on "Soundstage" last night, awesome show. ~ Harold S from S.C.

I happened to flip on your Soundstage concert last night. Soon, I was young, life was great, (thanks in part to a sudden case of raging hormones) and even a PBS pledge drive wouldn't have annoyed me. Thank you for music that could bring me back.

Watching your concert last night brought back memories and tears to my eyes when you sang "Leader of the Band" as my dad just died in July. Thank you so much for sharing your music with your fans. ~ Bob Bullman, St. Louis, Mo.

Last weekend, my parents, who are in their 70s were involved in a very serious automobile accident. They were badly hurt and the extent to which they will recover is unknown - the doctors warn that their lives have forever changed, we just don't know how significantly. I haven't really been dealing with any emotions yet (other than constant, pervasive worrying).

So tonight, watching and listening to you perform the songs that I've loved over the years helped me to feel some of the emotions I have tried to avoid this week. Your emotional voice, your pensive lyrics enabled me to feel sadness and loss, but also the beauty of your voice and your art brought an awareness of the serene beauty of nature and continuity and the sweet sadness of life. Of course there's the nostalgic element, for the songs are associated with younger days - and in Illinois- which seem so carefree in hindsight. But tonight your music enabled me to feel the sadness and the peaceful beauty both and I thank you for that. ~ Bree

Soundstage was tremendous. While I knew of your wonderful love songs I had no idea you were so verstile and multi-talented. ~ Sam Weatherford

My husband and I just finshed Soundstage on PBS and were amazed, of course. Dan, you are one of the most talented men. My sister in law once said, "the man can sing the ingredients from the side of a cake mix box and melt me into a puddle." You music brings back memories that are so dear to me. ~ Bekki in AZ

I found myself wondering whatever happened to you. Then last night, I happened to turn on Soundstage and was curious about the singer - you. I was so happy to see and hear you again because your music meant SO MUCH to me in the 70's. I cried a lot to your songs as I came 'of age', and I always loved to listen to you. ~ RC, Lincoln NE

Saw your Soundstage performance, marvelous, all of you. Took me back to ISU show of 1975. Good luck. ~ Adrian Takir
